Ok ok, first things first: This is now our street! That's right, that's where we live! Right by Otsuka station..but most importantly: right next to Starbucks! Yeah, that's also right sceptics- we cross oceans and oceans to go to an American cafe..in Asia. But they've got Green Tea Frappuccino and chicken wraps for just about a total of 38 kr. That being our lunch today.
Tokyo is great: Our room is marvelous and traditiona; The Weather is above all expectations with sun and 20 C!; and there's helpful people all over! Rebecca had a bit of a nervous breakdown when she realized she'd be spending 25 days in an apartment shared by five other boys- who clearly have not cleaned their kitchen the past few months. But there's sushi-take-away close by and we've got a mineature kitchen in our room.
The trip went very well- baggage arrived, plane arrived, we arrived.. but sleep did not. Luckily, we then got to watch: Australia, Twilight, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Madagascar 2, Flight of the Concords and this lovely japanese movie about food.
..Oh, and we have the MOST amazing convenience store in our neighbourhood. It's Convenience with a capital C- I mean- they've got EVERYTHING: 20 different types of backscratchers, really tiny screw-drivers, bananaholders, and so on- but NO travel-sized umbrellas. And everything was so cheap!
But Jet-lag is setting in,
so we're gonna turn in..
