This past week we've been to New York, Ice Cream City, Rome, Egypt, Hong Kong (twice), India and Paris. Discount flight-tickets? No! We've simply been to the man-made-island of Odaiba. Here they have The Statue of Liberty, Ancient Rome reconstructed as a shopping mall (by the name of Venus Fort, catchy) and Tokyo Big Sight- a congress center built like a pyramid that fell upside down, to the Earth's surface.
We found Ice Cream City and Little Hong Kong streets inside kiddietown: "Namjatown"- a chaos of noise, sugar and kids.
Quite a mouthfull of impressions, so today we went to Mitaka. A small, and decently quiet suburban area of Tokyo. It's the most idyllic place on Earth and home of the Studio Ghibli Museum (which we did not visit this time around.)!
